An exploration into EFL learners’ perspectives on online computerized listening comprehension dynamic assessment

Abstract As a part of more extensive computerized dynamic assessment (CDA) project delivered through dedicated website, www.lingeli.com , this study explores EFL learners’ perspectives on an online listening comprehension software focusing inferential skills while trying to minimize the guessing effect. The participants were 94 Iranian learners selected convenience sampling participate in 1-month targeting using developed software. researchers involved half semi-structured interviews held their native language (Persian) shed light pros and cons Six major themes emerged from interviews’ content analysis, encapsulating participant’’ generally positive perceptions some negative about They perceived CDA as novel interesting, stress-relieving, supportive, convenient, cost-effective terms time money, removing location limitations.
